7 Jul 2007 - Commemorating the London bombings of 7 July 2005
GMFF will be commemorating the London bombings of 7 July 2005 with an event at the United Reformed Church, 1 Court Road, Eltham SE9 kindly hosted by Pastor John Twidale.
This will also be an opportunity to reflect on the recent attacks in the UK as well and those elsewhere in the world.
There will be a time of silent reflection, quiet music, and images and info about the attacks from the BBC website. This will take place between 8.50am (the time of the first explosion) and 9.50am (the time of the last explosion) on Saturday 7th July.
Please enter at the front door of the church on Court Road, very near to the Post Office just off Eltham High Street. You are free to arrive from 8.35am onwards. You can stay for just part of the commemoration or for the whole of it. We would ask you to be as quiet as possible during the commemoration.
If you can not make it to this event, some of the evangelical churches are hosting a time of prayer to remember the attacks at Woolwich Town Hall, Wellington Street, Woolwich SE18 on Saturday 7th between 11am and 12noon. This is being facilitated by Pastor Yomi of the Thamesmead Christian Centre .
Everyone is most welcome - we look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
