12 Jul 2005 - Solidarity Gathering

As the number of the victims of last week's bombings continues to rise, and is further joined by the victims of narrow-minded Islamophobic attacks on the Muslim community, the Muslim Association of Britain, Stop The War Coalition and Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament call for a Public Gathering in solidarity with the families and friends of the victims of last Thursday's bombings in London and with the Muslim community which is coming under attack from extreme right wing Islamophobes.

On Thursday 14 July, Londoners are called to come onto the streets to mark a two-minute silence at 12 noon.

Books of Condolences will be placed in Trafalgar Square and open to the public at 1 p.m.

At 6 p.m. a vigil will be held in Trafalgar Square with readings and speeches.

There will also be a public gathering on Sunday 17 July 2005 at 2 p.m., Russell Square.
