Welcome to Greenwich Multi-Faith Forum

Plumstead Inter Faith Walk 2004

The South London Interfaith Group in conjunction with Greenwich Multi-Faith Forum held the Plumstead Inter Faith Walk on Saturday 3 July 2004 and visited 5 local places of worship:

* Greenwich Islamic Centre, Plumstead Road

* Greenwich Hindu Mandir, Bannockburn Road

* St Patrick's Church, Conway Road (shared vegetarian lunch here)

* London Lei Sang Si Buddhist Temple, Glyndon Road

* Sikh Gurdwara, Masons Hill

The event was open to people from all faiths or no faith, and was an opportunity to meet one's other-faith neighbours and learn about their religious beliefs and traditions.
Sarah Thorley from the South London Interfaith Group led an average 50 pilgrims.
We started at the Mosque. The
Mayor and Mayoress kindly joined us for part of the walk.
