The Queen Elizabeth Hospital celebrates the Guru Granth Sahib 2004
On 31st August 2004 the Chaplaincy Department at Queen Elizabeth Hospital held a lunch-time gathering in the Prayer Room to celebrate 400 years since the Guru Granth Sahib was compiled. The event included a turban-tying demonstration, the music of harmonium and tabla, prayers and blessing of the food, a reading from the Guru Granth Sahib - and a fantastic Punjabi spread, thanks to the kindness of members of both the two Woolwich Gurdwaras (temples).
